    EA gears up with a new spray drying equipment

    Expressions Aromatiques recently invested in a new spray drying equipment in order to improve and expand its range of powder flavours encapsulated via spray drying. Hence, two new GEA spray dryers were set up: a pilot spray dryer for flavourists’ tests and for samples sent to customers, as well as a MSD™ spray dryer dedicated to production, to cope with the increasing demand for spray dried flavours.

    Within the R&D department, a rigorous work of research and analysis of four years has permitted to extend the shelf life of spray dried flavours to 24 months. This new spray drying tower is ST2 classified (explosion hazard control), hence it is possible to produce more intense and more concentrated spray dried flavours.

    New ranges of powder flavours encapsulated via spray drying are currently being developed. Those flavours are adapted for various applications such as:
    – Premix for bakery, biscuits and pastry;
    – Instant powder drinks, 3 in 1 coffee and tea;
    – Culinary aids and condiments;
    – Dietary supplements, health foods and nutritional products…
