CSR

At Expressions Aromatiques, our CSR commitments are the central focus of our corporate culture and daily initiatives.

Our CSR Commitments

As a food industry player, we are well aware of our environmental responsibility. We therefore wish to take action and to progress towards a more sustainable and eco-responsible economic model.

Every year we roll out new practical measures to reduce our environmental footprint, to offer a working environment that fosters professional fulfilment and that meets the needs of all of our stakeholders.

The intensification of our corporate responsibility commitment reflects our desire to make a positive impact. Our internal organisation echoes this momentum, with the recent introduction of a CSR unit, where regular training is held in order to improve our contribution and enhance our practices.

To ensure the effectiveness of our actions, we rigorously analyse their results, striving for continuous improvement and adaptation to future challenges.

Environmental Commitment

Environmental Commitment: Keen to contribute to a more responsible future, we pay particular attention to water and electricity consumption, as well as to the way in which we manage our waste. Our facilities and practices evolve each year in order to reduce our environmental impact.

In 2019, we launched our environmental approach by joining the UN Global Compact. This pact covers ten principles in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption. With environmental preservation in mind, we combine this with the 7 fundamental principles of ISO 26000 to build a sustainable, comprehensive, and adaptable approach.

In 2020, all disposable plastic (except for our pipettes) was replaced by reusable or recyclable alternatives in our labs and cafeteria.

In 2023, 1,026 m² of solar panels were Installed on our site, allowing us to cover around 30% of our energy needs per year.

Health & Safety

Human safety is a priority and we are committed to providing our employees with a safe working environment, regular training and equipment that meets specific needs. Our responsive and meticulous regulatory department ensures compliance with laws, anticipates regulatory changes and shares best practices to protect both our teams and consumers.

Employee Wellbeing

We attach great importance to our employees’ wellbeing, in particular by promoting communication and goodwill in our departments. Under the aegis of the SEC (Social and Economic Committee), and in order to better understand each party’s expectations, a questionnaire regarding quality of life in the workplace was distributed among staff members to gather their remarks and suggestions to enhance the working environment and to foster professional fulfilment.

Concerted Action

Each year, awareness raising events and workshops are held: combatting breast cancer for Pink October, a second-hand initiative for waste reduction week, a charity second-hand school supply collection, etc. These events, spearheaded by our employees, enable us to strengthen our commitment and allow each individual to help build a more responsible and united future.
